Friday 22nd January 2016, Guildhall London. Pilgrim Bandits Charity, based in New Milton Hampshire has won the ‘Support to the Armed Forces’ Award at this year’s National Military Awards hosted by The Sun Newspaper. The awards ceremony attended by members of the armed forces recognises bravery and military excellence. Prior to the awards the Pilgrim Bandits team was invited along with all nominees to No 10 Downing Street for a reception hosted by Samantha Cameron.
Pilgrim Bandits Charity was established by ex-special forces veterans to provide challenging expeditions to severely injured service men and women from the armed forces as well as police, fire and ambulance services. In September 2015 the Charity, the subject of a BBC2 documentary broadcast in December 2015 – ‘Yukon – A Soldiers Journey’, completed a gruelling 500-mile kayak down the Yukon River in Canada with five amputee servicemen and veterans including Ben Parkinson MBE the charity’s Patron and one of the country’s most severely injured surviving soldiers.Watch Full Movie Online Streaming Online and Download
