The Derbyshire Times Business Awards are possibly the most prestigious business awards in the region.  This year Franke Sissons, also known as Franke Washroom Systems, secured two awards at the gala dinner presentation during late November at Chesterfield Football Club.

The Award for Community Contribution of the Year was won for the company’s commitment to its comprehensive apprenticeship programme and for its longstanding relationships and donations to schools, a hospice and other charities supporting young people in the Derbyshire area.

The Award for Business Personality of the Year went to the Managing Director of Franke Sissons, Andy Dukelow.  Nominated by his team at the company, Andy is a driving force who has been with Franke Sissons for just over 30 years.  He joined as an apprentice himself and is well known for his beliefs in the benefits of on-the-job training and youth sport.

Commenting on both awards Andy Dukelow. “The Award for Community Contribution is a real honour – I of course am delighted to be awarded Business personality of the Year and very touched to be nominated, but the community contribution award is a wonderful accolade to the work and time dedicated to a range of great causes locally.  Thank you to everyone involved.”

Franke Sissons also received highly commended awards for its Apprentice of The Year, Jack BraIthwaite and for Employer of The Year.
